PIANO SERVICE EXPERIENCE
I have over 40 years experience tuning and repairing all major brands of pianos. I have tuned for several music stores and their clients in Grand Rapids, Mi. I am currently the Piano Technician at Fort Hays State University, Hays, KS since 1997, servicing 26 pianos, tuning for recitals, concerts and guest artists. I also service customers in the Hays area and NW Kansas region.
FORMAL TRAINING
I received my training at the Piano Shop in Grand Rapids, Mi with a 1 year apprenticeship where they sold pianos and rebuilt grand pianos. I learned all aspects of the piano rebuilding process, repair and tuning by the owner – the concert Piano Tuner for the Grand Rapids Symphony. I received certification from Aubrey Willis School of Piano Tuning and Repair(Correspondence Course)
I am certified with the Piano Technicians Guild as a Registered Piano Technician.
